PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS Trial Period Sign UpTRIAL PERIOD
APRIL 1st - April 30 2013
Purpose
This purpose of this blog is to announce our upcoming TRIAL MONTH PERIOD. There will not be another one for quite some time, so if you're a watcher and you want to become a member, now is the time to start considering it... our next trial period may not be til the end of the year or possibly even 2014.
PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS
I want to be very clear about this, this trial period is for PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS... that means No one who signs up right now IS a member. There is no guarantee that anyone who participates will become a member. Membership will depend on the participation as well as sponsorship of the PROSPTECTIVE MEMBER (“PM”)...
MEMBERSHIP will be by “invitation only”
That said, if you put in the effort, you will likely get an invitation.

I've heard back from a number of people who WANT to collab with their HSVers more directly than just having the stories match, if your group of 4 wants to take that approach you are MORE THAN WELCOME TO! In fact I encourage it. might be a little bit more complicated with 4 people than with 2, but if you're up for it, have fun with it! XD
APRIL PAIR MISSIONSI wasn't going to post this until the official start of TRAIL MONTH: (“TM”) for our prospective members, but since there's so much excitement and confusion about TM: (as well as RTN for the members), I've decided to speed us up a few days.
So here's what's happening....
PAIR MISSION
MISSION : Your RTN Pair is assigned to show XXX (**assigned prospective member**) around the village.
WHAT THIS MEANS
NOTE: by “story” I do not mean fanfic, story is a tale, which can be told by both fanfic and/or fanart.
for the CURRENT MEMBER ::
→ You will greet the Prospective Members: (“PMs”) assigned to you and your partner.
→ Like all pair missions, you will work with your pair partner to do a collaborative Drawing/Writing or combination of drawing(s) and/or writing(s)
→ The “story” of your collaboration will be about showing these “Civilians” around the village. You can decide on the}

March 29 - April 6 :: WEEK 1 Assignment → Your PM profile sheet
April 5 – April 14 :: WEEK 2 Assignment → Collab with PAIRS MISSION PAIR (though you can and should start sooner)
April 12 - April 21 :: WEEK 3 Assignment → Individual 1-on-1 battle (will partially determine stats)
April 19 – April 28 :: WEEK 4 Assignment → 3-man squad Collabs
April 26 – April 30 :: WEEK 5 Assignment → Your Sponsor sheet

During the 1-month trial period, prospective members will have to create an acceptable OC to be added into our village (remember, during the one-month the OC will not be an official member of the village.

NOTE:

• Your OC's Status :: Civilian / ***Born in the village (no more refugees)

• Your OC's Stats :: None (zero)

• Your OC's Element : None

_{(Basically what we will be looking for during the OC Approval stage}
1. Name   :: Must not repeat any name in the census blog. and NO LAST NAME ; has to be no more than 7 letters
2. Age   :: Must be within 15-18 years of age for this generation (reason, we don't want to mess with current OC storylines by adding in people who would have been in the academy with the 20somethings)
3. Must meet all group rules   (i.e. “no tragic past” and other important rules)
4. Looks / Acts part of clan   (if you intend to join them to one of the clans)
5. Appearance  ::  Nothing freaky nor violates group rules
6. Personality  ::  Nothing that violates the group rules; no angsty/emo characters. Must be friendly, this is, after all, the village of love!!!
7. Respectfulness  ::  The village of love requires respectfulness. During the 1-month trial period ANY sign of disrespect towards any member or trial member is grounds for not inviting the deviant into our family
8. Spark  ::  We want characters who are vibrant and alive, teeming with spirit. Don't worry though, we don't demand that your OC be immediately alive, we'll help you bring them to life. What we ask for is a spark!



IMPORTANT : Because Prospective OCs are on a trial basis only and not all of them will make it into the village, we have very specific rules about how they must interact within the village during this time. Violations of these rules are ground for not being asked to join our family

 No Personality Charts  ::  Personality charts are for official group members, so during the trial period you CANNOT submit one. Not until you're invited to join, as it is part of the “Academy Arc” ; We WILL however have a blog and a "Trial member info sheet" to help us keep track of whose participating
 No Family ties  ::  This mean you also don't have to decide on joining a clan until the end of the 1-month trial period

•          → No Parents

•          → No Siblings

•          → No cousins

•          → No spouses

•          → No children

 NO Romantic Relationships  ::  An OC should be able to stand on it's own, NOT be known solely for who their lover is. Plus your OC may not stay so we don't want any messy cleaning up to have to do either.



WHO Sponsors?  :: Ideally whoever the PHSV (Potential HSVER) met with and interacted with during the 1-month trial period. The people they interact with will sponsor them, no one HAS to be a sponsor, but being a potential sponsor means you might get to know some of our potential members sooner than others

HOW do they sponsor?  :: There will be a form released at the beginning of Sponsorship week and each PHSV must post it on their gallery with the icon of 15 sponsors. Then those 15 sponsors have to comment on the deviation affirming their sponsorship with our motto “WE REGRET NOTHING!”

Does that mean the sponsors need to approve to let someone new enter?  :: Technically... yeah. But that's not what this is about, though it is nice to be able to have our villagers have a say in who THEY believe would make a lovely addition to our family.

So what is it about?  :: To get the new members to interact with existing members before they join so that when they officially join it's a much easier transition for everyone



April is RTN month in HSV (“Road to Ninja”)
_{this is because the RTN movie is rumored to be coming out this month with English Subtitles I believe.}
This means that the CURRENT HSVers will be running around with opposite personalities.
However, because this is your OC's FIRST introduction into the village, unfortunately we will NOT be allowing the PMs to RP as their RTN selves (we'll let you submit a drawing at the end of the month if you really really want to), but what we really want is to get to know your OC as they will be once they actually join the group.

Well... basically RTN means “alternate persona”... since PMs don't yet have a persona, they can't very well have an Alt. Persona... get what I mean?



Similar to the RTN, because your OCs will technically not be joining the village officially until MAY, the age you choose now will be your permanent age, they will NOT timeskip with the rest of the group so just consider them ageless during the trial month.
