Overview
Hello and welcome to HeartShrineVillage!
Perhaps you are thinking of joining our community or are currently a member, in which case, we invite you to go over these basic rules for our group.
Most of these rules are common sense rules - for example, treat others how they wish to be treated when it comes to respect - but a few relate to more specific things about the world in which our RP is set. As such, the rules are split into sections to avoid crowding.
Rules of Conduct
Be respectful of other players and their characters.
Treat others how they wish to be treated
♥ We have no tolerance towards bullying and harassment- this is a village of love after all. Please contact an admin with screenshots if you are and/or witness someone else being harassed.
♥ Incase you do not know how to take a screenshot
No godmodding | OPing | powerplaying | metagaming
♥ Please respect both your character’s stats along with your rp partner’s stats. Always be sure to check the Stat Wheels and profile information of another player's character when using them in your works. If their character is stronger than yours, it's not very likely that your character will easily beat theirs.
♥ Metagaming: player's use of real-life knowledge concerning the state of the game to determine their character's actions, when said character has no relevant knowledge or awareness under the circumstances.
Keep drama to a minimum.
♥ Don't be afraid to approach chat moderators or the group administrators if you have a problem or even just need to vent for a little while: we won't discuss what you talk about with us and we have private chats where you can voice any concerns you might have.
♥ Likewise, if you have a problem with a specific administrator, please bring it up with the Mikokage ranked administrator - currently, this is [ TwinEnigma ]
Shipping is not everything
♥ You would not like to be forced into a relationship in real life would you? So please do not take personal offence if another character does not want to be your character’s love interest. Friendship, rivalry, family, etc are all just as good bonds as “OTP”
Keep public chats PG-13
♥ Please take anything over PG-13 to private (dms, notes, etc).
If you need to go on a hiatus let us know!
♥ Members will be put on a Wallflower list after a period of 3 months with no activity in the group if we are not notified that they will be taking a break from the group. More information about the Wallflower system here -> [insert link here]
Rules for Art/Writing
All written missions/prompts must be a minimum of 1000 words to count towards the mission. Traditional and digital art are both okay.
♥ For missions and prompts, the submission cannot be a sketch
♥ Full lines, colouring, etc, or other signs of effort and time are a requirement (relative to the artist’s style).
Do not trace, copy, or recolour another artist’s work or anime screenshots
♥ Saying "Google" or "pinterest" does not count. Please link the actual photo/base used.
♥ Using references and stock material is perfectly fine, as long as these references and stock items are properly credited. Adoptable character images fall under "stock" and use of that specific image must be credited to the originating artist or designer.
Bases will not be accepted for credit towards prompts, any missions (elemental and path), or exams. They are allowed for general art and apps/character references. Flag your art accordingly
♥ Works containing Mature Content or triggers must have the appropriate filter and warnings.
Ask before using another player’s character(s)
♥ If you do intend to use another player's character in your works, the general rule is to ask permission first and be willing to accept their criticism of how you depict their character.
Submit to the appropriate folders.
♥ If you do not know which folder to submit to, please ask and we will help you.
Rules for Group Chat
Be respectful of other players and their characters.
♥ Not all characters may get along but please do not take it personally. Remember, the players are not their characters.
Please keep spamming to a minimum
♥ Not to be confused with sending messages frequently. Please do not post the same links/sentences/things repeatedly.
Everyone needs to swear occasionally, but there’s no need for cluster-f bombs or anything of the sort.
Please keep the drama to a minimum
♥ Excluding IC drama. The purpose of the chat is to be able to, well, chat as friends and/or make new friends. Please do not bring outside conflicts into the chat. If you have any complaints, contact an admin privately and it will be resolved.
♥ We have a vent channel in the discord chat if you need somewhere to vent.

♥ Do not push someone to rp with you and respect them if they say they are uncomfortable rp-ing the subject
Do not prohibit others from joining an ongoing public rp
♥ If you do not want others to join, please take it to private
Please use brackets such as )) or ]] to denote OOC speech
♥ It gets very confusing especially in a group setting

♥ Please take anything over PG-13 to private (dms, notes, etc)
Absolutely no explicit topics
