THE RULEZ

I feel as if we really need these in their own separate blog and I also feel some people need a bit of a reminder of the rules, so here they are!

RULES OF CONDUCT

♥ Our Number one Rule is BE RESPECTFUL
♥ You MUST Love HSV
♥ NO DRAMA (hilarious funny Hade stole your cupcakes drama is okay but no REAL drama, in the OCs or among the members)
♥ No Anti/No Hate
♥ No WALLFLOWERS  : No one can be a member of HSV if they are not active within the group. One month of inactivity will result in being kicked out of the group and demoted to Watcher status  --> [link]
♥ Deactivation = Immediate Wallflower (this is how we've done it in the past)
♥ Bring LOVE not Hate... meaning if you're going to make a comment, say nice things (critiques are fine if requested, but remember we're not really an art group, we're a LOVE group... art improves because of our love not because of harsh criticism)
♥ Leave your anger OUTSIDE of the group. Whatever stresses, heartache, rage, etc... leave it at the door. Here we want nothing but positivity. Immerse yourself in the love.
♥ NO copyright infringement. (yes that means no recoloring OCs, references are fine)
♥ Submit to the Appropriate folder (they'll be pretty self-explanatory.. please no rough-WIP or sketchdumps)
♥ If your deviation contains mature content please add the appropriate filter and warning.
♥ By joining this village you allow other members to play with your OC (without god-modding of course).
♥ You can play with other people's OCs (in your art or in your fanfics) however it would be advisable to ask permission first,
♥ When using another person's OC for your art or fic, always be sure to check out their stat sheets to make sure you know their personality and likes and dislikes and not end up going contrary to what the person's vision of their OC is... the Profiles can all be found in our CENSUS BLOG → [link]
♥ Higher Ranking shinobi should NOT be defeated in battle by lower ranked shinobi with lower stats. All stats can be found here -->  [link]
♥ No rough-WIP or sketch dumps in the gallery (good detailed sketches are fine though)
♥ 500 words MIN for a fic to be counted for prompts
♥ PINK... every villager must wear some piece of pink. It can be any shade (including very dark) but it's tradition!
♥ BE RESPECTFUL (it cannot be stressed enough)
♥ If you have any issues, concerns or problems please feel free to contact the group and we will help as best we can.

OC RULES

♥ All Villagers are allowed ONE OC in this village.
♥ Narufest Participants were allowed one original Heart Shrine Villager AND one refugee OC from the original village. (offer ended)
♥ Only Heart Shrine ADMINS are allowed to create NPC-OCs (mainly for purpose of team leaders / sensei, but they won't be played by them... hence "NPC")
♥ ALL OCs are confined to the HEARTSHRINE Realm. This means
--Your OC is NOT an Uchiha / Uzumaki / Hyuuga / Nara / Etc
--Your OC is NOT married to / related / rivals with any Naruto-CANNON Character.
--Your OC does not KNOW any Naruto-CANNON Character or has ever visited any of the Cannon villages (unless assigned in future events to have a mission there)
♥ OC NAMES must not be a name that is already taken (or any that are too similar... this is to avoid confusion which we've had before this rule was added)... please check the CENSUS BLOG to find out if the name you want has been taken --> [link]
♥ No Tragic Pasts
♥ No Sexual abuse!!! This is a BANNABLE offense
♥ No Incest (this goes to the previous rule too... but also just because we'd rather not have to deal with the drama that that could create)
♥ No Amnesia
♥ No super powers
♥ No demon, bijuu, or any type of deity or spirit in them.
♥ No wings or animal parts (though animal characteristics like the Inuzuka's abilities is fine)
♥ No Akatsuki membership
♥ No Kekkai Genkai (real or made up)  Acception for FOUNDING clans --> [link]
♥ No signature moves like Chidori or Rasengan (it is possible to create one later but not use one of those) IMPORTANT (students should have NO special/S-class moves at all)
♥ No Specialty Weapons until CHUNIN-level, and only for those in the WEAPONS PATH
♥ No summoning mythical creatures (or as pets) (and no summons of animals until after chunin)
♥ All animals are limited to their Clans or Paths
♥ No weird characteristic like two-colored hair/eyes (that just screams Sue)
♥ DO NOT create Village-Enemies... no Akatsuki-like Ocs. (though the above “NO NPC” rules pretty much covers this... just want to be clear though.
♥ All OCs are FINAL. You wouldn't just stop existing and jump into another body in real life now would you? OCs are permanent unless you leave the group, in which case your character either gets killed off or goes on a long voyage. However leaving the group to come back with a new OC is also not tolerated and is actually quite disrespectful to our rule. Bottomline, NO REPLACING OCs
♥ No Solitary/loner/Angsty/Abusive/Argumentative/Violent characters. We are a Village of LOVE There's no place here for the angry loner
♥ Rules are subject to change... but unlikely unless we feel a need to add something to keep with the overall theme of the group.

Stat boosting is caped for all levels:

ACADEMY LEVEL --> 13 point limit
GENIN LEVEL --> 17 point limit
CHUNIN LEVEL --> 23 point limit
JOUNIN LEVEL --> 27 point limit
ANBU LEVEL --> 30 point limit
KAGE LEVEL --> 40 point limit

INTERACTION RULES

♥ As started above, you cannot create NPC OCs (mention of parents is okay), therefore interaction in stories should be with OTHER MEMBER OCs
♥ Look for and sign up for Matches in the Matchmaker blog → [link]
♥ Remember to ASK other members for permission to use their OCs
♥ Keep true to the Characters of your Matches (this may require reading some of their stories, or even brainstorming with them if you want... it's fun!)
♥ Respect the skill-level differences between the Ocs
--Example : If your OC is a 2 in force and your rivals' OC is a level 5, your OC should NOT be kicking their OCs butt in a fight.... the other person worked hard to get their OC's stat up to that and their hard work should be respected

STAT RULES

♥ Academy entries will be allowed to be entered passed the deadlines up until DECEMBER 31st 2012 (not for the battles, just for overall 5 category entries = .5 boosts)
♥ NON-ACADEMY STUDENTS can also enter Academy-prompt submissions (AFTER GRADUATION)  for the overall non-battle boosts
♥ More Prompts WILL come up and they will have LONGER deadlines
