"What was that?!"

Explosions were going off in the distance. That was especially unusual for their village. It wasn't a festival, and they never shot off fireworks during Halloween, so what could it have been? Raiden knew. Anyone who had lived their whole life in a shinobi village would know. Those explosions meant an attack.

Raiden looked over at his wife who had been carrying their sleeping 4-year-old son, though he'd woken up quickly as the explosions went off. It was Halloween. It was supposed to be a day of candy and fun spooks; however, this felt more than just a prank. He and his family had just gotten back to their home from the day's events when the explosions sounded. His instincts as a shinobi were to go and help, but his instincts as a father were to stay with his family. He took in a few deep breaths, trying to clear his mind.

"Go." Kanmuri breathed, though her eyes said differently.

Raiden took her into his arms and kissed her before kissing their son's head. "Stay here. I'll be back." He promised, giving her another kiss before grabbing his gear and quickly dashing from their house. He was thankful that they lived in near seclusion; however, that meant it would take him a bit longer to reach the center of the village. He had to hurry.

"Azuna! Azuna!" Raiden called for his sister, making his way through the crowds of panicke villagers. There was no use in trying to conceal himself, though he brandished a kunai.

As he made his way through town, he'd encountered other shinobi. Unfriendly shinobi. He'd easily taken them down--mere foot soldiers of whatever else was going on--and kept his eyes open for larger, more dangerous threats. His heart raced as the adrenaline of battle was starting to overtake him. His senses were heightened as he guided civilians to safer domains for protection, all the while making his way downtown. He needed to get to his sister who was living in the center of all this chaos. There wasn't much time to spare as anything could happen. Raiden's thoughts were all over the place as a part of himself wanted to report to Eimi. Another part wanted to stay at home and make sure his family was safe--though he had to remind himself that Kanmuri was just as incredible as any other shinobi. And then of course, a part of him wanted to find his sister. He'd already lost her once in his life, and he wasn't going to lose her again. He vowed that that would never happen again.

"Azuna!" Raiden burst into her apartment, finally arriving at his destination. He stopped as he saw her standing by the open window. "Azuna...?"

Azuna turned around, her long, unruly blonde hair pulled back into a ponytail. She was wearing a formfitting, black leotard with scrolls strapped in an x-formation across her torso. She turned when she heard her name and frowned. "Nii-san..." She breathed.

"Azuna, what the hell are you doing?" He asked, reminding himself it was still Halloween and that she'd always wanted to be a kunoichi. "This isn't the time for a costume party." He told her. "Let's get out of here."

"Nii-san...I can't." She took in a deep breath. "I'm so sorry...I really did enjoy being here..." She backed up slightly, moving closer to the window.

Raiden furrowed his brows. "I...don't understand." He took a step forward. "We need to leave, Zu-zu."

Azuna shook her head. "No. We aren't leaving together." She told him before stepping onto the window's ledge, crouching.

"Azuna, get down from there. It's dangerous!" Raiden went to take another step but stopped as something caught his eye. There, just inches from his foot, was a line of explosive tags. His eyes widened. "I...I don't understand..."

"I know..." She nodded. "I don't expect you to." She breathed. "However...I have to go. I can't go back anymore. The plan is already set in motion," she told him, "and there's no way to stop it."

"But--"

Azuna frowned and whistled as her red tabby cat--Satu--came bounding after her, perching itself on the ledge beside her. It gave a hiss at Raiden, swiping its paw in the air in defensive aggression. She took in a deep breath before locking eyes with Raiden. "Thank you, for being my brother." She told him before pulling down a black mask, covering her face except for her eyes. On the forehead of the mask was their symbol, The Crimson Order. Azuna and her nin-neko jumped.

"Azuna!" Raiden screamed for his baby sister as she jumped. He completely forgot about the line of explosives and took another step forward.

Kaboom.

:star::star:The village is in a difficult situation, the CRIMSON ORDER, our archenemies, are back. Kushin leads the attack on the village, bringing along members who escaped last time as well as those who were captured and should be in prison right now. The details of that prison break are still a bit blurry, so it's not sure how they managed to escape.
<<HERE>> will be a link to the enemy's profiles, once they are updated.:star::star:

Path Missions:

Medic:
With all the explosions going off, there is debris flying everywhere. Because of this, there are injured in all parts of the village. It's your job to stabilize them and evacuate them from the site.

Assassin: Your task is simple. Do your job.

Illusionist: The civilians are being evacuated to safe houses, your job is to make sure none of the henchmen can find those.

Weapons: There are a lot of foot soldiers on the ground attacking innocent civilians and raiding shops and homes. It is your duty to provide backup to the citizens and get them to safety.

ANBU: Eimi and Joshua seem to be more than capable of handling themselves. They send you to keep the Crimson Order's foot soldiers off the medic's backs, so they can save bady injured civilians without being interrupted.

Infiltration: There have already been a few captured enemies. Your job is to take their place in the invasion and try to infiltrate their numbers. Find the leaders and update our information on them. This isn't the same Crimson Order from the last attack.

Priesthood: The Heart Stone--er, Momo is in danger. After alerting the Head Priest, you are now in charge of protecting the temples. There are sacred, secret scrolls stored inside and it is your duty to defend the temples from the enemy.
